5 Oct - I just got back from a boat delivery to Annapolis and posted the final results.  Sorry about that.

22 Sep - The new slate has been proposed.  Commodore: Chris Brown, Vice Commodore: Larry Shuhy, Rear Commodore: Rob Bestoso, Secretary: Mary Berthelot, Treasurer: Jack Rienzo, Fleet Captain, RC: Cheryl Rienzo, Membership Chair: Jean Lambert, Member at Large: Mary Moody, Member at Large Rich Moody, Social Chair: Fred Bartlett.  Come to the annual meeting at the Firehouse on 14 Oct.

17 Aug - It was a long night for a race!  Only Class B had finishers.  All other classes didn't have anyone finish within the time limit.

6 Aug - The JYC/CYC Challenge Race was abandoned due to the weather.  The pin went for a ride and had to be picked up by the bridge.

3 Aug - The Notice of Race for the upcoming JYC/CYC Challenge is now posted.

21 July - This is the JYC 2011 Cruise Document. We have 10 boats signed up for this years cruise. If after reading this you want to join the cruise, please email our cruising chair, Ed Doherty at patriot367@yahoo.com so we can add you to the roster. This is also for any members who might not be able to participate in the full cruise. Please join us when you can, we would love to have you.

10 May - The racing season has started!  Check out the results.

9 May - The 2011 Race Circular is now posted.
To our 2011 JYC Racers,
The Spring Series begins on Tuesday.  The season race book is now available for download. There are a few items which require your attention. 

• Page 7, Letter to our 2011 Series Races - explaining Coast Guard requirements for our racing.
• Page 10, paragraph 10, Areas That Are Obstructions - Racers may use only the center span of the suspension section of the Newport Bridge during the on-going bridge construction.  Do not sail inside the keep-off buoys. See Notice to Mariners for further details of the construction site.
• Page 12, paragraph 16.4, Scoring-JYC Qualifiers - Qualifiers have been added for all JYC registered racers for the following races: NBYA Super Tuesday regatta, July 19th, and the Sail Newport Sail for Pride regatta, September 11th. Details of the scoring are included.

8 May - For those J24 folks that might interested, Barrington Yacht Club is holding the 2011 Cox Memorial Series J24 One Design racing.

26 Apr - The skipper's meeting was canceled due to family issues.  The Race Circular hopefully will be out soon.  Go to the Race page to download the Entry Form.

9 Mar - JYC Race Schedule update: Please note that the first Fall Series Race will NOT be Sunday, Aug 28, but has moved back to Tuesday, Aug 30, to deconflict with other regatta useage of Race Mark 3 on the Sunday. One other race would be okay, but not two others using the same starting mark in the same timeframe. See you on the water!

7 February - The Winter Dinner was held tonight at the Bay Voyage.  43 members gathered for a wonderful evening filled with friends, laughter and excellent food.

12 January - The 2011 calendar has been finalized and posted.

11 January - Was a perfect evening for our annual Dark & Stormy Night, right between two storms.  Over fifty members and a few potential new members joined for a fun time with good food and music at the Narragansett Cafe.
